Sunday All age Service

A bible story

'Bible reading? Let's all join in!' We are telling the story of how God created the universe (this bit is when God thinks 'Hmmm')

The scout groupWe generally have an All-age Service once a month. This is specially aimed at family groups and younger members of our congregation and there is often a theme involving activities for the younger members (and the not so young!)

The Shell Seekers Sunday School join the congregation and the services normally include a uniformed parade of Brownies, Venture Scouts, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers. Sometimes members of these groups act as sidespersons, read lessons, say prayers, perform short plays and so on during the Service and assist with the refreshments in the hall after the service.

St James's PlayersThe St James's Players instrumental ensemble (shown left) accompanies the hymns and other sung parts of the service, and plays before and after the service.

The service is followed by refreshments in the church hall. Our small hospitality team provide tea and freshly-brewed coffee as well as cakes and hot bites. All our drinks are Fairtrade products. Everyone is welcome.
